Instantly a nice taste, slightly sweet, with a definite hiint of caramel. Cafe nero describe this as rich and creamy with notes of caramel and strength of 9. It doesn’t come across as a strong roast, but neither is it weak.

Caffe Nero say it is ” medium italian roast sweet and balanced with notes of dark chocolate, hazelnuts & caramel”, the sweetness comes from the caramel but the other notes are hard to find. A strong coffee described as “layered cacao, hazelnuts and cedar” but difficult to distinguish. Definitely a nice coffee, but for the occasional drink. It leaves a strong residual taste after drinking which lasts a while. For further info click here

A strong coffee that contradicts and feels light and sweet! A nice chocolatey taste to start but doesn’t linger, leaving a lingering sweet and spicy after taste. CRU describe this as a “stunningly strong and colourful coffee that finishes in a warming mix of earthy spices and smoky sweetness”, which I fully agree with.
